Leading in an Era of Disorder
I help clients navigate the new world of decentralizing authority at home and disintegrating order abroad
Nation-to-nation treaties require nation-to-nation diplomacy.
Diplomacy is the practice of managing relations between nations. Diplomats draw on a nuanced understanding of shifting power dynamics, map out who matters and develop lasting relationships to guide their clients through chaos.
As courts begin to enforce the treaties that created the foundations of Canada before Confederation, First Nations increasingly expect to be treated as nations equal in dignity and rights. To thrive in the nation-to-nation order the courts are slowing rebuilding, companies and civil society organizations need to build permanent positive and trusting relationships.
Diplomats can help them build these relationships to succeed in a Canada where one nation no longer dominates all others.
